On Saturday May 21st, 2016 at the Games, join several of the World’s top Drum Majors for the Victoria Higland Games Drum Major’s Clinic.
All skill levels of Drum Majors and beginners are welcome! The clinic is free, but participants must register online with BC Piper’s Association
Program:
- Marching and deportment, both stationary and foot drill
- Reviewing Highland Drum major dress
- Mace Signaling
- Competition Drill
- Massed Band Drill
- Basic mace flourishing
- Advanced mace flourishing (as time permits).
Workshop conducted by:
- Senior Drum Major, Jason Paguio from the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band;
- Senior Drum Major, Kevin Conquest from the Dowco Triumph Street Pipe Band; and
- Senior Drum Major, Ken Misch from the Los Angeles Scots Pipe Band.
Time: 9:30 am to 11:30 am
Location: Check in – in front of the Games Information Tent at 9 am.
