The Victoria Highland Games Association is pleased to present its “The Wine Tasting School” on Saturday and Sunday, May 18th and 19th 2019, at the 156th Victoria Highland Games & Celtic Festival at Topaz Park.

All sessions will feature premium wines (5-6 samples each class) presented by Sommelier Nick Blewett from Everything Wine.

The registration fee is $30 and includes a one-day field entry (value $15).

Guests must be aged 19 years or older to attend!

Any sparkling wine can be called Champagne, right? No, sorry. Champagne is a protected term which can only be used to describe sparkling wine from the region of Champagne in France, and even then only when a bunch of other winemaking rules are followed. There are myriad other styles such as prosecco, cava, cremant, and more which have various things in common, as well as various unique qualities. Come and taste the range, you might leave with a new favourite.
