Victoria Tartan Parade

Downtown Victoria (from Centenial Square to the Legislature)

The 6th annual Victoria Tartan Parade will be held on May 8, 2010 and features local pipebands, highland dancers, and heavy event athletes. Please contact jmaxwell@shaw.ca if you are interested in participating in the parade.

The parade promotes Scottish culture and the 147th Victoria Highland Games & Celtic Festival to be held on May 22 and 23
at Victoria Topaz Park.

Leaving Centennial Square (Victoria City Hall) at 11am, the parade will proceed down Government Street to the Parliament Buildings lawns. Around 11:30am, the pipe bands will march and play tunes, dancers will do a massed Highland Fling, and the caber will be tossed!

This is a free event and will be a colourful spectacle.
