Be Part of It
You Can Be a Volunteer
The Victoria Highland Games is a wonderful community and family event that is entering its 71st year, and we are so proud of our event. Every year we depend on members of the community to lend a hand to make this the fantastic event that it is. The truth is that without our volunteers, this could not be the event that we like it to be.
Our volunteers get involved in every part of the games, and help out with everything. We want YOU to be part of our games this year. Our volunteers receive:
- invitation to a games orientation event prior to the games weekend
- A weekend pass to the games
- Meals during your shifts
- A special VHGA Volunteer T-shirt
For more information e-mail our volunteer coordinator: secretary@victoriahighlandgames.com
You Can Be a Sponsor
The VHGA is committed to making our event a family and community friendly event. Part of our task there is to make sure that we are providing great value for money for our attendees. We rely on the generosity of local businesses to make our event a success.
We provide our sponsors with excellent exposure by providing opportunities for:
- advertising your sponsorship at a stage or tent within the games
- providing space to communicate with our 7500 + guests in the souvenir program
- exposure on a website that receives over 2500 hits a month
- association with a well-loved Victoria institution
You Can Be a Member
The annual outdoor games is only part of the story. We work throughout the year to support and celebrate Scottish Culture in Victoria and beyond. In addition to the May games we host 4 indoor highland dance competitions and one indoor piping and drumming competition throughout the year, we are co-hosts of the areas largest Robbie Burn's Dinner, we sponsor and run workshops for dancers and pipers, we provide bursaries for local dance competitors and run the tartan parade in downtown Victoria. If you have a passion for Scottish Culture and an interest in making an impact for your community, you may want to consider being a member.
You Compete, Sell, Entertain or Inform
